Whats in a name?

Since I opened my shop, I have gotten a lot of questions about my blog/shop name, Dainty Bean. I wish I had a really inspiring story of how it came to me but I really dont. It is something I thought about for a long time. Once I had decided on the name, I mulled it over for several months (if you look on my etsy shop it says my shop opened in August 2010 but I really didnt put any thing in it until October 2011), and then finally just decided to go for it. The name stems from my past. My very best friend in high school was named Regina. She went by Gina but for some reason, I called her Bean. Our senior year, we were obsessed with all things dainty. Dainty shoes, dainty stationary, dainty people, dainty figurines, etc. I decided to combine the two and Dainty Bean was born. I also thought Dainty Bean was a good name because so many pregnant women refer to their growing baby as a little "bean" and since I make items for baby, I thought it fit in that way as well. I still love all things dainty so I hope it will stick with you like it stuck with me. It just felt right.
